- Recruit your team of 8 – 15 walkers or runners … everyone is welcome!
- Your designated Team Captain will attend scheduled meetings to find out more about this exciting event. Team Captain Meetings are open to anyone interested in getting more information about Relay For Life of New Hanover County. All meetings are held at Roland-Grise Auditorium on Lake Road
- With the new online registration website, team members can either sign-up online or give the registration fees to their team captain.
- Captains will collect a $10.00 commitment fee from each team member. This fee entitles each member to a Relay For Life T-shirt, plus makes them eligible for other wonderful incentives.
- Solicit donations from friends, family, business associates, neighbors, etc. Each team member is challenged to raise money from donors before the event. In the past, some teams have had bake sales, raffles and wine tasting parties to raise money. Team captains get additional fundraising ideas at their meetings. Incentive prizes are offered for fundraising efforts. The more you raise--the better the prize.
- Come to the track early and set up your campsite. Bring your tents, food, and sleeping bags so you won't miss the action. Each team should have at least one member on the track during the entire event.
